For many firms 2009/2010 has been a very difficult year with recession hitting many industries hard across the engineering sector. Happily, Magnetic Shields has had another profitable year and we continue to expand our sales of shielding across the world.
We recognise that for Magnetic Shields and indeed our clients, to be able to compete in challenging market conditions it is essential that we are able to offer high quality, cost effective products. With this in mind, Magnetic Shields has invested heavily in many new areas to aid production and streamline efficiency.
For our production facility these investments have included; 2 extra Micro pulse TIG units, 1 x additional seat of CAD/CAM software, 4 x furnaces and computer controlled chart recorders, 2 x Polishing/Deburring rumblers and a fully automated assembly machine.
Our ancillary services have also been improved by the introduction of a new ERP system to facilitate improved record keeping and production control, 2 x new maintenance men and maintenance planning/scheduling software, environmental control software and many other smaller purchases for both our production and ancillary services.
With further major investment imminent in the near future, Magnetic Shields remains totally committed to providing our clients with a reliable, first class service for today, tomorrow and the future.
