As part of our on-going investment programme at Magnetic Shields, we have recently totally refurbished our Tool Room. This refurbishment includes the major investment of a new CNC machining center and a new CNC lathe. This investment is aimed at giving our customers tighter control and a better delivery service on machined parts and tooling.
Magnetic Shields Limited has listened to customer feedback and as a result of this, we have also upgraded our Inspection department. We are currently commissioning a FARO GAGE CMM in order that we can provide our clients with more accurate and detailed dimensional analysis reports and enhance our level of "in-process" inspection.
It is anticipated that the CMM will be fully functional by mid-June and will prove to be a very beneficial investment. In addition to providing accurate measurements, the FARO GAGE is also capable of reverse engineering parts back into a 3D CAD model.
Testing our product to ensure that we only supply the very best levels of shielding has always been very important to us. To complement our current range of measuring equipment, we have also recently added a handheld METROLAB 3 Axis Magnetometer. With the two purchased probes, we can cover a range of magnetic fields from 4 Micro Tesla to 20 Tesla.
