In 2009 Magnetic Shields launched a new product range after taking over the high accuracy core business that was once a product of Carpenter Technology UK.
These cores are widely used for accurate power measurement in power distribution systems, railway networks and large pieces of energy consuming industrial equipment.
Using the extensive heat treatment experience of Magnetic Shields Limited, we are able to guarantee that these cores produced from Mu-Metal are of a very high quality and consistency. Each batch is tightly controlled and undergoes stringent permeability testing prior to dispatch.
With a wide range of winding machines, we are able to produce these cores from an ID of 50mm up to a maximum OD of almost 1000mm and in strip thicknesses ranging between 0.1mm and 0.35mm. Cores can be supplied cased or fixed depending on customer requirements.
In addition to supply of these cores produced by Magnetic Shields, we also represent Magnetec GmbH in the UK, and can offer all of their extensive range of wound products in both crystalline and nano-crystalline materials.
