Magnetic Shields can offer a range of CNC controlled equipment to compliment our manufacturing facility. Components can be processed on our 2500w LVD Orion laser to give a high accuracy, high quality part, with an edge finish completely free from oxidisation.
The Orion is capable of cutting Nickel based alloys and Stainless Steels to 8mm thick, Aluminium up to 6mm thick and Carbon steel/Pure Iron up to 16mm thick.
We also have a CNC controlled, twenty turret punching machine capable of high volume, efficient and accurate production.
3D Modelling & CAD/CAM
From design to fabrication, Magnetic Shields utilises state of the art CAD/CAM solutions. We are able to assist with 3D modelling, stress analysis and preparation of drawings to your specification.
Customer drawings and models can be accepted in a wide range of formats; DXF, DWG, IDW, IPT, IAM, STEP, SAT and IGES to name a few.
Customer components can easily be flat patterned and inserted into our high efficiency, dissimilar nesting package to give the most economic cutting program available.
Automation
With an ever increasing demand within the power and automotive industry sectors for high volume, low cost shielded components, Magnetic Shields has heavily invested into machinery capable of fully automated procedures on certain components.
This investment has enabled us to supply, on demand, high quality parts in volumes of over 1.5 million pieces per annum.
