History

The Special Materials Department was set up in 2004 to continue the activities of Colsur Materials Limited which is now the holding company for the Magnetic Shield Group.

Colsur Materials Limited was founded in 1997 by a management team with many years of metallurgical experience.

We have an ISO 9001 accreditation and have a world wide database of material sources and specialize in supplying unusual materials and offer consultancy services for correct material procurement

Aims

To provide our customers with assistance in sourcing specialist materials

To act on a consultancy basis for our customers to solve processing, production and supply problems involving specialist materials.

To offer these materials on an ex stock basis or within very short lead times at competitive prices.

In addition we are the UK and Irish representative for a German manufacturer of tape wound toroidal cores called Magnetec (www.magnetec.de) as well as a French company producing wire and strip based precision components for the electronics industry called Delta Composants (www.dic.fr)
