MuMetal

MuMetal, a Nickel-Iron alloy, is an excellent low-frequency shielding material due to its extremely high permeability. All of our MuMetal shields undergo a specialist in-house heat treatment to maximise permeability and shielding performance.

GA4 Hybrid Shield

The GA4 is a hybrid shield consisting of MuMetal passive shielding, active shielding and demagnetisation.

Heart Shield

We design and build both modular and bespoke magnetically shielded rooms based upon application for each customer. The process begins with a full categorisation of the field within the space of interest which allows us to recommend the required dimensions and shielding performance and recognise the main source/s of unwanted electromagnetic fields. Rooms can be created for both magnetic and RF shielding by layering high-permeability material with electrically conductive materials. Magnetically shielded rooms are equipped with electrical access ports and field-free lighting.

MuCan

MuMetal® Magnetic Shielding Cans for transformers and other sensitive electronic components. Typically manufactured from high permeability MuMetal® (Grade ASTM A753 Alloy 4), MuCans provide excellent low frequency magnetic field attenuation with low coercive forces.

All products can be provided with matching lids and bespoke aperture configurations, and are supplied in a hydrogen magnetically annealed condition to optimise final magnetic properties.

MuFoil

Magnetic Shields are a global supplier of MuMetal® Magnetic Shielding Foil. Our standard stock ranges of cold rolled, stress annealed MuMetal® foil (Grade ASTM A753 Alloy 4) are available in a variety of gauges and widths for rapid delivery worldwide.

MuMetal Toroidal Cores

Magnetic Shields Ltd is a global leader in the production of high-accuracy MuMetal® toroidal cores. Each batch is tightly controlled and undergoes stringent permeability testing prior to dispatch. With a wide range of winding machines, we are able to produce these cores from an ID of 50mm up to a maximum OD of almost 1000mm and in strip thicknesses ranging between 0.1mm and 0.35mm. Cores can be supplied cased or fixed.

We also represent Magnetec GmbH in the UK, and can offer all of their extensive range of wound products in both crystalline and nano-crystalline materials.

Supra-50

Supra-50 is a Fe Ni soft magnetic alloy with saturation induction and high permeability. The high-performance level and the chemical purity make this alloy particularly suitable for applications requiring high sensitivity and great accuracy due the higher saturation point of 1.6T for Supra-50, in comparison to 0.75T for MuMetal®.
