Shielding Design
To help Magnetic Shields give you the best possible service in any magnetic shielding project we initially ask our customers to supply the following information:-
Magnetic Properties
What is the minimum attenuation needed?
What is the field strength and frequency level of the field to be protected against?
Geometry
Geometry of the requested shield
Dimensional tolerances
Average space available
Maximum and minimum internal and external dimensions
Is a drawing available? (ideally in electronic form) if not do you require prototype drawings prior to production
Appearance
Surface aspect required for the shield i.e. is a painted finish or plated finish required?
Service Conditions
Will the shielding be subjected to thermal or mechanical stresses, or possible corrosion attack?
Are any specific mechanical properties required?
Magnetic Shields has the in house technical knowledge to support you in answering the above questions if required.
We have metallurgists on site with more than thirty years experience in the materials used in the manufacture of magnetic shielding and we can help you with site visits if necessary in order to resolve any shielding problems that you may encounter.
