Joining a well-established, close knit team, this entry level position will involve dealing with various aspects of financial administration and basic accounting duties connected with accounts both payable and receivable.

After appropriate training, the person will be able to assist the rest of the team with daily, monthly and annual financial duties, taking on some responsibility for inputting, reviewing and reconciling accounts. In addition to this, the accounts administrator will take on work related to the banking processes, assisting in process payments to external partners, maintaining updated records of invoices and processing staff expenses.

About the Role

Joining a well-established, close knit team, this entry level position will involve dealing with various aspects of financial administration and basic accounting duties connected with accounts both payable and receivable.

After appropriate training, the person will be able to assist the rest of the team with daily, monthly and annual financial duties, taking on some responsibility for inputting, reviewing and reconciling accounts. In addition to this, the accounts administrator will take on work related to the banking processes, assisting in process payments to external partners, maintaining updated records of invoices and processing staff expenses.

The successful candidate will need a real eye for detail to deal due to the complexity required from the role, whilst supporting the team and other departments to deliver an efficient service. Full training will be given on both the IT and technical knowledge required. Whilst it would be beneficial for the candidate to have some experience of working in a similar role, this is also an ideal opportunity for an entry candidate with some relevant qualifications to join an established team.

There is real scope for future career progression within the department as the Company continues to expand. The successful candidate should expect to undertake supported relevant qualifications, which will mean a commitment to studying both in work and their own time.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for multi-currency accounts
  • Creating sales and purchase invoices
  • Undertake supplier statement reconciliations and make payments accordingly
  • Credit control responsibilities
  • Processing staff expense claims and credit card statements
  • Undertake month end and year end processes
  • Ensuring systems are up to date and accurate
  • Assist with monthly reporting
  • Participate in the development of the finance function, team and systems

Essential Skills

  • Educated to at least A level standard, ideally with relevant qualifications such as maths, economics, statistics, business studies, finance, etc.
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail
  • Analytical by nature
  • Ability to work independently and part of a team
  • Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the business
  • Strong IT skills
  • Willingness to study

Qualifications & Experience

  • A candidate with some relevant work experience would have an advantage
