To be considered for this role you will need to possess the ability to work within a small team, posses the right technical skills, have excellent attention to detail and be adaptable to helping colleagues as and when needed. The role has the potential for the right candidate to progress within the department.

Role
- The successful candidate will work towards becoming multiskilled within our fabrication department, to be able to manufacture shielded components in accordance to drawing and customer specifications.
- We manufacture bespoke 1-off parts to multiple batches of 100’s, all to the same high quality standards. Attention to detail is essential.
- Fabrication techniques such as forming, bending, rolling and TIG welding in various gauges of sheet metal ranging from 0.35mm to5mm.
- Hand finishing to a high standard.
- Work within an ISO9001 system, following all H&S and operational procedures.
- Assisting others in the team as appropriate
- Providing cover for other departments when required
Essential Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ transferable work experience
- Working knowledge of fine-limit sheet metal and have some experience in sheet metal fabrication processes, such as bending, forming, and rolling.
- Competent at general sheet metal duties including deburring & drilling
- Able to read and work from engineering drawings, be a team player and be able to work to tight deadlines
- Knowledge of other fine limit sheet metal work would be an advantage
- Some TIG welding experience would be beneficial although training can be given.
- Experience of working within an ISO9001 quality system ideal
